CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield slips
Reuters2026/08/24 19:00The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.6% lower at C$1.3848 to the greenback, or 72.21 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3784 to 1.386.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 8.2 basis points to 3.681%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.7041%.
U.S. October crude CLc1 futures fell $2.05 to settle at $85.01 a barrel on Monday.
