Canary Capital Co-founder Just Dropped Major XRP Price Statement
Steven McClurg is not a newcomer to digital assets. As co-founder of Canary Capital, he helped build one of the leading U.S. firms in crypto investment products.
That puts his target well above current trading levels and signals meaningful conviction from an institutional voice with real market standing. When McClurg offers a price outlook on a specific asset, the investment community pays attention. His recent comments on XRP did exactly that.
Why the Market is Watching These Targets
Retail price predictions circulate constantly in crypto. Institutional ones carry a different weight. McClurg’s position at Canary Capital gives his outlook credibility that stands apart from social media speculation.
Canary Capital operates in the regulated investment product space, which means McClurg’s views are informed by the same market structure and demand signals that drive institutional capital allocation.
His $3 to $4 target over a 12-month horizon reflects a measured but bullish view on where XRP is heading. It accounts for the accumulation of institutional infrastructure building around the asset, including spot ETF products, growing on-chain activity, and expanding financial partnerships tied to Ripple’s payment network.
His target range represents a significant move from where XRP trades today. It shows that the asset has room to run over the next year, supported by the regulatory clarity the market has been building toward.
Activity on the Ground
Aside from institutional commentary, activity across the XRP ecosystem continues to grow. The video showed that Clearstar Labs raised the ceiling on its earnXRP vault to 45 million FXRP, the wrapped form of XRP on Flare Network, worth roughly $59 million at the time of the announcement.
The move followed the launch of new stablecoin borrowing venues. The vault is accessible through the Xaman Wallet Flare Yield app. XRP traded at $1.39, up 12.41%, around the time of these developments.
The Setup Going Forward
Spot ETF inflows continue to accumulate while regulators and Congress make progress with rules for the crypto market.
RLUSD is also expanding its presence on the XRP Ledger. Each development adds infrastructure that supports the asset’s long-term utility and makes McClurg’s target more likely.
