See What Wells Fargo and Abu Dhabi Bank Just Did On XRP Ledger
A new XRP Ledger activity snapshot shared by crypto enthusiast ChaCha has put two major financial institutions, Wells Fargo and Abu Dhabi Bank, in focus.
In a tweet, ChaCha said the institutions appeared in XRPL auto-bridging activity over the previous 24 hours, based on the transaction and volume data shown in the attached dashboard.
ChaCha wrote that “Wells Fargo and Abu Dhabi Bank traded over XRPL Auto-Bridging over the last 24H,” while pointing readers to an XRPL Auto-Bridging and Liquidity Intelligence tracker associated with Chad Steingraber.
The dashboard presents historical and live auto-bridging activity across the XRP Ledger. It shows XRP serving as the bridge asset between different currencies and tokens, while tracking transaction counts, volumes, and recent activity.
The data also shows XRP Ledger activity involving several assets. RLUSD had the largest share of the tracked volume at 58.8%. ETH followed with 17.5%, while USDC accounted for 12.7%. Other assets included USD, EUROP, USDT, and BTC.
XRP Serves as the Ledger’s Bridge Asset
XRPL auto-bridging is a built-in mechanism designed to improve liquidity between different asset pairs. According to the XRP Ledger’s official documentation, the system can use XRP as an intermediary when exchanging two other currencies if doing so provides a better overall rate. This can enable a trade execution through an XRP-based path rather than relying only on a direct market.
The dashboard shows this activity through multiple flows into and out of XRP. It lists USDC to RLUSD as the largest recorded route at 1,878,199 XRP, followed by USD to RLUSD at 1,056,567 XRP. EUR to ETH accounted for another 1,019,578 XRP, while RLUSD to USDC represented 747,739 XRP.
The tracker also recorded XAH to RLUSD activity at 222,615 XRP across 4,366 trades. The most recent transactions shown in the screenshot included XAH to RLUSD transfers of 511.56 XRP and 727.46 XRP.
ChaCha Responds to Questions About the Names
That distinction matters because the screenshot alone does not establish that Wells Fargo or Abu Dhabi Bank directly conducted the transactions. The names displayed by an XRPL tracker require further verification through identifiable on-chain addresses and other evidence.
For now, ChaCha is presenting the data as an indication of activity associated with those names. The underlying XRPL transactions remain the key evidence for determining which organizations actually participated.
The data nevertheless highlights the range of assets moving through XRPL’s liquidity infrastructure and XRP’s role in connecting different markets through auto-bridging.
