Foreign media: BGB stalls around $1.60

BGB has been consolidating around $1.60 over recent months. According to foreign media commentary, the token price has yet to reclaim the 50-day moving average, and a clearer recovery signal would require first reclaiming the 200-day moving average near $2.16.

Price remains at a low consolidation level

The article notes that, since June, BGB has fluctuated roughly around $1.60, and, compared to its early 2025 high, the current trend remains weak. The previous rally began at the end of 2024, when the price briefly dropped to around $0.55, then broke out above the long-term moving averages and quickly surged to a peak of $8.55.

However, this rally has ended. After pulling back from the peak, BGB continued to weaken, and since August, no sufficiently clear rebound signal has appeared. The article points out that currently there is still no new long-term moving average breakout on the chart, and the market has yet to see a clear reversal develop.

$2.16 is a key resistance level

According to the article, there is still a significant gap between BGB’s current price and the 200-day moving average, which is also the most closely watched level for the next move.

  • BGB’s current price is approximately $1.60
  • The 200-day moving average is around $2.16
  • If selling pressure increases, the region near $1.13 may become an area to watch below

The article concludes that unless the price reclaims the 200-day moving average, the price structure remains weak. In other words, there is not yet enough of a basis for a strong recovery.

Platform data shows no obvious deterioration for now

Although the token’s performance is under pressure, the article also points out that the current information is not sufficient to indicate that Bitget’s ecosystem fundamentals have significantly weakened. Bitget continues to emphasize platform security and user asset protection.

According to data disclosed by Bitget, the average size of the protection fund in July 2026 was $351 million, with a peak above $365 million. The platform also stated that the protection fund will remain above $300 million and that monthly proof of reserves updates will continue.

Overall, the commentary tends to attribute BGB’s current performance to weak price structure rather than any sudden deterioration of platform fundamentals. The article’s core view is that unless the 200-day moving average around $2.16 is reclaimed, it is difficult to regard the current trend as a true reversal.
