Starknet launches a privacy development kit to support developers in building privacy DeFi applications
Foresight News reports that, according to the Starknet blog, Starknet has released its privacy development suite, officially launching the Privacy SDK and Privacy Wallet API for developers. These tools allow any wallet or application to integrate privacy features without the need to build underlying infrastructure themselves. The released Privacy SDK is a TypeScript client (Apache 2.0 license), suitable for wallets and advanced integrators; the Privacy Wallet API is aimed at regular DApps, allowing developers to use starknet.js to enable shielding, transfers, unshielding, and swap functions, without the need to handle viewing keys or zero-knowledge proofs directly.
Starknet stated that its privacy token standard STRK20 has already been deployed on the mainnet, supporting the transformation of any ERC-20 token into assets with shielded balances and private transfer functionalities. The underlying mechanism uses zero-knowledge STARK proofs for on-chain verification, without disclosing the sender, receiver, or amount. Currently, several ecosystem projects such as avnu, Troves, ForgeYields, Ready, Xverse, and Ekubo have already begun development based on this privacy stack.

Pimco warns that the US 10-year Treasury yield may reach 6% for the first time since 2000
Pacific Investment Management Company (Pimco) has issued a warning that the world’s most important bond market remains volatile due to high oil prices, inflation concerns, and the US’s massive public debt. The yield on the US 10-year Treasury is at risk of reaching 6% for the first time since 2000. Pimco's Chief Investment Officer, Dan Ivascyn, stated that after several weeks of heavy sell-offs in the $32 trillion US Treasury market, investors such as hedge funds may be forced to close losing bond positions, making a significant further rise in the 10-year Treasury yield from its current level of 5.29% a “possible scenario.” In recent weeks, other investors have issued similar warnings: a “vicious cycle” is forming in the US Treasury market. Successive waves of sell-offs are pushing yields to certain levels, which in turn is prompting other market participants like Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) to also sell off bonds.
