Well-known trader speaks out again after a year, Strategy suspected of selling 491 bitcoin
BlockBeats reported on July 3rd that renowned trader Light (@lightcrypto), after a year of silence, broke major news: according to his on-chain data monitoring, Strategy is suspected to have sold 491 Bitcoin on the evening of July 1st.
Light is an OG-level leading trader in the crypto market, with over 180,000 followers on X platform. He previously warned about the Terra LUNA crash in 2022 and has consistently been bearish on Ethereum.
Regarding the above-mentioned Strategy's Bitcoin sell-off, Arkham analyst Emmett Gallic stated that its authenticity still needs to be confirmed, because “the related address's behavior differs from the already verified Anchorage custody address.” The UTXO sources of these addresses, withdrawal patterns, Galaxy Deposit usage, and counterparties all do not match Strategy's usual large-scale operations, and the amounts are much smaller than the typical scale.
This Monday, Strategy announced a “digital credit capital framework”, granting the company authorization to sell Bitcoin at indeterminate times.
