According to Odaily, Chris Perkins, CEO of 250 Digital Asset Management, stated that even if the Clarity Act, which aims to clarify the crypto regulatory framework, fails to pass in Congress, the long-term development of the US crypto industry will not be affected. He pointed out that the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission have been continuously establishing a regulatory framework to provide stability and certainty for the industry.

Perkins said that regulators are currently clarifying the classification system for crypto assets through policy and practice. Compared to the previous restrictions brought about by defining tokens as securities, the relevant compliance path is gradually becoming clearer. He also noted that if the Clarity Act is ultimately passed, it will further consolidate the regulatory framework, making future policy reversals more difficult. Recently, expectations for progress on this bill have increased in the market, with several lawmakers and industry participants indicating that it could achieve short-term progress. (Cointelegraph)
