The Baltic Dry Index rises to a multi-month high as all vessel categories increase.

Golden Ten Data Futures, April 13: According to foreign media reports, the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) rose to the highest level in four months, with freight indices for all vessel types continuing to climb steadily. The Baltic Dry Index increased by 49 points, or 2.2%, from the previous trading day to 2,250 points, marking the highest level since December 12, 2025. Last week saw the largest weekly gain in two months. The Capesize Index (BCI) gained 119 points, or about 3.6%, to a more than one-month high of 3,437 points, the highest level since February 2. Average daily earnings for Capesize vessels rose $1,082 to $27,667. The Panamax Index (BPI) increased 7 points, or about 0.4%, to 1,862 points, near a three-week high. Average daily earnings for Panamax vessels increased by $61 to $16,757. The Supramax Index (BSI) increased 12 points, or 0.9%, to 1,320 points. The Handysize Index (BHSI) rose 2 points to 701 points.
