Jupiter: Over 166,000 wallets have claimed active staking rewards, a minimum staking threshold will be set in the future
Solana ecosystem aggregator Jupiter announced on social media that Active Staking Rewards (ASR) were launched for the first time six days ago, and over 166,000 wallets have claimed this reward. Based on community feedback, the team has identified two key changes for the next round later this year:
1. Excessive Dust. Approximately 148,000 wallets staked less than 10 JUP to receive LFG airdrops. As such, some rewards are unclaimed because they are too small. In future voters will need to stake at least 10 JUP (at voting time) to be eligible for ASR. This will ensure more tokens flow towards real users rather than witch attacks on governance programs.
2. How to handle unclaimed ASRs: ASR has a claim window of 30 days but not everyone claims it. After discussion, the team decided to return all unclaimed ASR funds back to DAO treasury which can decide its future use.
