Cardano Price Prediction: Grayscale Drops Cardano ETF Plan as ADA Battles $0.20

Cardano faces renewed pressure as Grayscale withdraws its proposed Cardano ETF filing. The move comes while ADA struggles to break above the critical $0.20 level. At the same time, falling open interest signals weaker participation across the derivatives market. Spot market flows also show limited conviction among traders. Consequently, ADA enters August 10 with its bullish structure intact but facing several warning signs.

Grayscale withdrew its proposed Cardano Trust ETF registration from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The firm also withdrew filings connected to its Hedera and Polkadot ETF proposals.

Grayscale submitted three Form RW filings under Rule 477 of the Securities Act. The filings request withdrawals of the related S-1 registration statements and accompanying documents.

The original filings emerged during a broader wave of crypto ETF applications. That push gained momentum as asset managers sought new ways to offer digital asset exposure.

However, Grayscale’s latest decision creates uncertainty around Cardano’s institutional investment narrative. The withdrawal does not necessarily eliminate future ETF efforts. Nevertheless, it removes a potential near-term catalyst for ADA.

ADA trades near $0.1985 as buyers continue testing the psychological $0.20 resistance. The token remains above its major four-hour exponential moving averages.

The 20 EMA sits at $0.1975, while the 50 EMA stands at $0.1926. Meanwhile, the 100 EMA holds near $0.1850, and the 200 EMA remains around $0.1787.

This alignment keeps the broader four-hour structure cautiously bullish. However, ADA has struggled to generate enough momentum for a sustained breakout.

The Chaikin Money Flow indicator also remains negative at -0.06. That reading points to mild selling pressure and limited capital entering the market.

Additionally, ADA’s momentum could weaken if buyers fail to defend the 20 EMA. A move below $0.1926 would strengthen the bearish case.

A four-hour close above $0.20 could encourage buyers to target $0.2115. A break above $0.2115 would provide a stronger bullish confirmation.

Conversely, losing $0.1926 could expose ADA to $0.1893 and $0.1850. A deeper decline could then bring $0.1825 and $0.1787 into focus.

Level Type Significance
$0.2115 Resistance Major Fibonacci breakout target
$0.2000 Resitance Immediate psychological barrier
$0.1975 Support 20 EMA
$0.1926 Support 50 EMA
$0.1893 Support 0.618 Fibonacci level

ADA’s derivatives market also shows signs of declining enthusiasm. Open interest once exceeded $1.5 billion during periods of stronger price activity.

The metric briefly approached $2 billion at its highest levels. However, open interest later dropped below $700 million as market momentum weakened.

By August 10, open interest stood near $472.13 million. That decline suggests fewer traders currently use leverage to speculate on ADA.

Moreover, spot flows continue to show inconsistent investor conviction. Outflows dominated much of the broader period, with several spikes exceeding $10 million.

Inflows also produced occasional strong moves above $10 million. However, they lacked the consistency needed to establish a sustained accumulation trend.

On August 10, ADA recorded a net inflow near $834,170. The figure indicates modest buying interest but remains insufficient to confirm a major sentiment shift.

Key levels remain well-defined heading into the next trading sessions:

Upside levels: $0.2000 and $0.2115 remain the main hurdles. A decisive break above $0.2115 could strengthen bullish momentum and open the path toward higher levels.

Downside levels: $0.1975 provides immediate support, followed by $0.1926, $0.1893, and $0.1850. A deeper correction could expose ADA to $0.1825 and $0.1787.

Resistance ceiling: $0.2115 represents the key level for confirming a stronger medium-term bullish structure. The $0.2000 psychological barrier remains the first hurdle buyers must overcome.

The technical picture suggests ADA is consolidating below $0.20 while remaining above its major EMA levels. However, declining open interest and weak capital inflows indicate that traders remain cautious.

Cardano’s price prediction hinges on whether buyers can defend the $0.1975–$0.1926 support zone while building enough momentum to reclaim $0.20. A breakout above $0.2115 could signal renewed demand and push ADA toward higher resistance levels.

However, losing $0.1926 could weaken the bullish structure and expose ADA to $0.1893 and $0.1850. The declining open interest near $472 million also highlights reduced speculative participation.

For now, ADA remains at a pivotal decision point. The $0.20 resistance and $0.1926 support should determine the next major move, while stronger spot inflows could provide the catalyst for a breakout.
