Teva Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi Report Positive 44-Week Duvakitug Data in Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's Disease

10:02 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Teva Pharmaceutical Industries' (TEVA) affiliate Teva Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi (SNY) said Tuesday that duvakitug maintained clinically meaningful efficacy through 44 weeks in a Phase 2b long-term extension study involving patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. In ulcerative colitis, the 900 mg dose produced clinical remission in 58% of patients, clinical response in 87% and endoscopic improvement in 63%. Results were numerically lower with the 450 mg dose. In Crohn's disease, the 900 mg dose produced an endoscopic response in 55% of patients, while clinical response and remission rates were 87% and 84%, respectively. The companies said the results suggested a dose response. Duvakitug was generally well tolerated across both diseases, with no new safety concerns identified. Biomarker analyses from the Phase 2b induction study also showed reductions in markers tied to inflammation and, in Crohn's disease, tissue remodeling, supporting the potential role of TL1A inhibition in treating inflammatory bowel disease, the companies said.
