Portal Price Prediction: PORTAL Holds Bullish Structure as Profit-Taking Risk Rises

Portal (PORTAL) has staged a powerful recovery, with traders returning as price momentum and open interest strengthen. The token climbed 54.20% over 24 hours and gained 50.93% over seven days. PORTAL currently trades near $0.01722, while daily volume has reached $127.49 million.

PORTAL’s four-hour structure remains firmly bullish after its recent breakout. The token rallied from approximately $0.0120 before reaching a recent high near $0.01929. However, sellers emerged around that peak and pushed price toward $0.01689.

Despite that pullback, PORTAL continues to trade above its major exponential moving averages. The 20 EMA sits at $0.01327, while the 50 EMA stands near $0.01204. Additionally, the 100 EMA rests around $0.01148, with the 200 EMA near $0.01137.

This alignment keeps the broader four-hour structure constructive. However, the Bollinger Band %B reading of 0.95 shows price remains near the upper band.

Significantly, the indicator has started turning lower after reaching elevated levels. Hence, traders could see consolidation or additional profit-taking before another directional move.

PORTAL faces immediate resistance around $0.01780, which aligns with the 0.786 Fibonacci level. A decisive move above that barrier could bring the recent $0.01929 high back into focus.

Beyond that level, $0.02004 represents the next major upside hurdle. A sustained break above $0.02004 could strengthen the bullish setup and encourage another momentum wave.

On the downside, $0.01605 provides the first important support. This level corresponds with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement and could determine whether buyers retain control.

Moreover, $0.01482 marks another important defense zone near the 0.5 Fibonacci level. A deeper retracement could expose $0.01358 and $0.01206. Therefore, bulls need to protect the $0.01605 area to maintain the breakout structure.

Portal’s derivatives market has also started showing a meaningful shift. Open interest contracted for much of the past year as traders reduced leveraged exposure. A major spike emerged in late May, briefly lifting open interest above $65 million.

That surge quickly unwound, leaving open interest below $15 million through much of the following period. However, the latest data shows open interest climbing toward $23.48 million on August 17.

The rebound indicates renewed participation from leveraged traders. Consequently, PORTAL could experience larger price swings if open interest continues rising. Sustained growth would support the recovery, although excessive leverage could also increase liquidation risks.

Spot market flows present a more cautious picture despite the bullish price structure. Several large negative netflow spikes appeared during late May and early June. Those movements indicate that more PORTAL left exchanges than entered them during those periods.

The latest reading shows netflow near negative $241,520. Such outflows can support accumulation when investors move tokens away from exchanges. However, persistent selling activity elsewhere could weaken that interpretation.

Key levels remain clearly defined for PORTAL as bullish momentum strengthens:

Upside levels: $0.01780 and $0.01929 represent immediate hurdles. A decisive breakout above the recent high could open the path toward $0.02004 and potentially higher levels as momentum expands.

Downside levels: $0.01605 provides the first major support, followed by $0.01482 and $0.01358. A deeper correction could expose $0.01206, where buyers may attempt to rebuild momentum.

Resistance ceiling: $0.02004 remains the key level to flip for stronger medium-term bullish momentum. The four-hour structure remains constructive, with PORTAL trading above its 20, 50, 100, and 200 EMAs. However, the elevated Bollinger Band %B reading suggests the token could experience consolidation after its sharp rally.

Portal’s near-term outlook hinges on whether buyers can defend $0.01605 while challenging the $0.01780–$0.01929 resistance zone. A sustained breakout above $0.01929 could strengthen bullish sentiment and push PORTAL toward $0.02004.

Open interest also adds weight to the bullish case, having rebounded toward $23.48 million after months of contraction. However, rising leverage could amplify volatility if the rally loses momentum. Meanwhile, spot flows remain mixed, with the latest netflow near $241,520.

For now, PORTAL remains in a pivotal zone. Holding $0.01605 keeps the breakout structure intact, while reclaiming $0.02004 could confirm a broader bullish continuation. Conversely, losing $0.01482 would weaken momentum and expose deeper support around $0.01358 and $0.01206.

The scarcity myth of Hermès Birkin bags weakens: second-hand premiums decline and supply surges

Hermès continues to expand its handmade leather goods production capacity, and the rise of second-hand trading platforms has significantly lowered the resale threshold for Birkin bags. In Q3 this year, the second-hand transaction price for Birkin 25 was about 1.7 times the retail price, a notable decline from the peak of about 2.6 times in 2022. UBS downgraded Hermès’ stock to a "sell" rating, estimating that the number of Birkin and Kelly bags available globally is now six to seven times the pre-pandemic level, and stating that the brand's "scarcity" is being eroded.
