GnosisDAO community releases proposal to allow GNO holders to proportionally redeem their share of the treasury
Foresight News reports that the GnosisDAO community has published a proposal to "allow GNO holders to redeem their proportional share of the treasury," with the current opposition rate reaching 64.81%. The proposal allows any GNO holder to exchange their tokens for a proportionally allocated share of the GnosisDAO treasury. Participation is entirely voluntary. Non-participants will retain their GNO and continue to enjoy all economic rights from the ongoing operation of the DAO. Liquid and semi-liquid treasury assets will be distributed based on net asset value. Illiquid off-chain investments and enterprise value will be handled through a synthetic gLTD-CLAIM, which entitles participants, after redemption, to a fixed proportional share of future dividends from the above asset pool in excess of the principal recovery threshold, whenever the DAO deploys capital. Redeemed GNO will be burned, thereby permanently reducing the effective circulating supply.
