Sector Update: Tech Stocks Rise Pre-Bell Wednesday

09:13 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were rising pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.6% and the iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) 1.3% higher. SK Hynix (SKHY) is exploring a deal with Intel (INTC) to manufacture its memory chips in the US for the first time, Reuters reported, citing three unnamed people familiar with the discussions. However, SK Hynix said no deals have been finalized over a potential partnership with Intel to produce memory chips in the US. SK Hynix shares were up more than 2% and Intel stock was advancing by more than 3% premarket. Nokia (NOK) and C3IA signed a memorandum of understanding to support digital transformation across UK defense operations, the companies said. Nokia shares were up more than 5% pre-bell. CoreWeave (CRWV) signed a 15-year anchor lease with Blockfusion USA subsidiary North East Data for capacity at a data center site in Niagara Falls, New York, Blockfusion said. CoreWeave stock was up more than 2% premarket.
